Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 19, 2026
Artisan of Glass (“the app”) is made by Curly Doggo Limited. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. The short version: there is no account, we never sell data, the little we collect ourselves is pseudonymous, and ads (served by Google) appear only in the free version — premium subscribers see none.
What stays on your device
Your puzzle progress, solved-window history, best times, hint counters, and settings are stored only on your device (and in your device backups, which Apple manages). We cannot see them.
When you tap “Save to Photos”, the finished window image is written to your photo library after you grant permission. The app never reads your photo library — it only adds images you explicitly save.
The daily reminder, if you turn it on, is a local notification scheduled on your device. It involves no server and sends nothing anywhere.
Analytics
We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to understand how the app is used — which puzzles get played, where players get stuck, whether the tutorial works. This data is tied to a randomly generated identifier, not to your name, email, or Apple ID, and includes:
- Interaction events (puzzle started/solved, hints used, settings changed, purchase steps)
- Device model, OS version, and app version
- Your IP address, processed to deliver the data and derive an approximate region
We do not use analytics data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not sell it.
Purchases
Payments are processed entirely by Apple. We never receive your name, card number, or billing address.
To unlock premium features after a purchase (including on a new device, via Restore Purchases), we use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives the Apple purchase receipt, your purchase history for this app, and the same kind of random pseudonymous identifier used for analytics. RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf and does not sell it.
You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device.
Advertising
The free version of the app shows ads served by Google AdMob: a small banner while you play, and optional reward ads you can choose to watch for an extra hint.
Premium subscribers see no ads at all — with an active subscription the ad software is never even started, so no ad data is collected.
To serve and measure ads, Google acts as an independent ad partner (not a processor working on our behalf) and may collect device identifiers (such as your device’s advertising ID) and data about how you interact with ads. How Google uses this data is described in Google’s privacy policy, and the ad partners it works with are listed here.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, the app asks for your consent through Google’s consent form before showing any ads. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time in the app under Settings → Ad Privacy Options.
Sharing
Data goes only to the processors named above (PostHog, EU; RevenueCat, US — under standard data-protection agreements) and, in the free version, to Google for advertising as described above. We do not sell or rent data, and we do not combine it with data from other sources.
Retention & your rights
Analytics data is kept only as long as it is useful for improving the app. Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because our identifiers are random and not linked to your identity, deletion requests work best from the device in question — contact us and we will walk you through it and delete what we can match.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. It has no accounts, no chat, and no user-generated content. The free version shows ads served by Google, with the consent protections described under Advertising. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated effective date.
